Fabrication of FePO4 layer coated LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2: Towards high-performance cathode materials for lithium ion batteries [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The surface of layered LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 was coated with nano-layer FePO4 by co-precipitation method and followed by heat treatment. The prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).

Grsey, Groups & Fluids

open access: yes, 2021
Feza G rsey was a brilliant physicist who loved symmetries and beautiful mathematical structures such as group theory and division algebras. In this centenary year, I give a brief review of some of his contributions and then zero-in on group theory and discuss how it can give us a new perspective on a centuries-old topic, namely, fluid dynamics ...

Shape‐Controlled Guanine Self‐Assemblies for Stable and Fast‐Ion Solid–Electrolyte Interphases in Sustainable Li Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The shape of guanine self‐assemblies is tuned by introducing alkyl (G8), fluoroalkyl (G8f), and oligoether (G8g) side chains into the G moiety. The scanning tunneling microscopy results and calculations show that the presence and type of the side chain strongly affect the G self‐assembly network.
