Fast design space exploration of vibration-based energy harvesting wireless sensors
An energy-harvester-powered wireless sensor node is a complicated system with many design parameters. To investigate the various trade-offs among these parameters, it is desirable to explore the multi-dimensional design space quickly. However, due to the

Strain relaxation of Al‐rich α‐(AlGa)2O3 single layers and an α‐Al2O3/Ga2O3 superlattice structure grown on m‐plane sapphire substrates by molecular beam epitaxy are discussed. V‐shaped dislocations are formed on the Al‐rich α‐(AlGa)2O3 sample surface to reduce elastic strain energy accumulated during growth.

Regulation of Bacterial Virulence by Csr (Rsm) Systems [PDF]
SUMMARY Most bacterial pathogens have the remarkable ability to flourish in the external environment and in specialized host niches. This ability requires their metabolism, physiology, and virulence factors to be responsive to changes in their surroundings.

An optimization method for nacelle design [PDF]
A multi-objective optimiZation method is demonstrated using an evolutionary genetic algorithm. The applicability of this method to preliminary nacelle design is demonstrated by coupling it with a response surface model of a wide range of nacelle designs.

In statistics, response surface methodology (RSM) explores the relationships between several explanatory variables and one or more response variables. The method was introduced by George E. P. The main idea of RSM is to use a sequence of designed experiments to obtain an optimal response.
