Craniofacial Changes Among Children and Adolescents Submitted to Growth Hormone Therapy: A Systematic Review

open access: yesOrthodontics &Craniofacial Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The aim of this systematic review was to investigate the association between craniofacial changes and growth hormone (GH) therapy among children and adolescents with GH deficiency or idiopathic short stature (ISS). The PRISMA guideline was followed to carry out all stages of this review.

Discrimination Factor of Sulphur Stable Isotope Ratios Between Pregnant Fin Whales and Their Foetuses

open access: yesRapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, Volume 39, Issue 14, 30 July 2025.
Abstract Rationale In‐utero synthesised tissues of mammals have often been used to infer maternal behaviour during gestation. Differences in δ15N or δ13C values between foetal and maternal tissues (foetus–mother discrimination factors) are well established, but they remain uncertain for δ34S values.

Reducing Critical Raw Material Use in Commercial Solid Oxide Fuel Cells Using Vertically Aligned Thin‐Film Cathodes with Enhanced Long‐Term Stability

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 8, Issue 4, July 2025.
A systematic study of thin‐film electrode materials for solid oxide fuel cells based on vertically aligned nanocomposite films. This work shows bulk solid oxide fuel cell cathodes can be effectively replaced by optimized thin films, drastically reducing critical raw material use.

Applicability of Ensemble Singular Vectors to a Mesoscale Convective System Over the East China Sea

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 11, 16 June 2025.
Abstract This study investigates the effectiveness of ensemble singular vectors (EnSVs) for a mesoscale convective system over the East China Sea, a challenge due to its strong nonlinearity. Employing breeding ensembles with varying horizontal resolutions, we compare linear EnSV predictions with nonlinear perturbed forecasts.

Strain‐Induced Reduction of Centrosymmetry in Rare‐Earth Iron Garnet Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 11, Issue 8, June 2025.
This study introduces reduced centrosymmetry in rare‐earth iron garnet thin films. Studies on compressively strained Sm3Fe5O12 and tensile‐strained Lu3Fe5O12 thin films reveal that above critical thickness, a more than tenfold increase in coercivity and non‐zero orbital moments indicate a reduction of centrosymmetry.
