Relationship between rTMS effects and MEP features before rTMS

Neuroscience Letters, 2018
Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a promising method for use in the clinical field, as it can induce modulation of cortical excitability. Generally, rTMS inhibits the motor cortex when delivered at less than 1 Hz. However, it has been indicated that a facilitative effect is induced by 1 Hz rTMS, depending on the stimulation ...

Maximizing throughput for high performance TTI‐RTM: From CPU‐RTM to GPU‐RTM

SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts 2011, 2011
The implementation and production application of fast Reverse Time Migration (RTM) algorithms, especially for Tilted Transverse Isotropic (TTI) medium, is critical if the seismic industry is to quickly and efficiently create superior images for the interpretation of steep-dips and sub-salt regions.

Practical VTI RTM

72nd EAGE Conference and Exhibition incorporating SPE EUROPEC 2010, 2010
In this abstract we describe a production implementation of 3D anisotropic VTI RTM using a finite-difference scheme on production cluster. Our end-to-end code is about four times faster than a blade that consists of dual Intel quadcore Harpertown running a similar VTI RTM code, including vectorization.

Profiling rTMS: A critical response

Australian & New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry, 2021
This article is a detailed response to the criticisms levelled by the authors of an accompanying viewpoint, which claims that the positioning of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) in the 2020 Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) clinical practice guidelines for the management mood disorders (MDcpg2020) is

RTM Process Modeling

2019
This chapter, based on the rigorous theory of fluid flow through porous media (continuum theory), different approaches (analytical) for description of air and resin flow in fibrous media will be presented. In the macroscopic mathematical modeling, both fibrous media and fluids (resin and air) are considered to be incompressible and the effect of resin ...

RTM Life Cycle

2009
This chapter explains the RTM Life Cycle at the level of detail needed by the person who is in charge of implementing RTM in your company, or who will be your internal RTM expert. Everyone else should read this chapter quickly, not deeply, to become familiar with the RTM Life Cycle concepts. This chapter starts by recapping the overview in Chap.

Ethical Guidelines for rTMS Research

IRB: Ethics and Human Research, 1997
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a technique introduced in 19851 that uses the principle of inductance to get electrical energy across the scalp and skull in order to produce changes in neural activity in the brain. It involves placing a small coil of wire on the calp and passing a very brief and powerful current through it.
