Zinc Grid Based Transparent Electrodes for Organic Photovoltaics

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 16, Issue 3, 21 January 2026.
A transparent flexible electrode based on an embedded zinc grid with ≈1 µm linewidth is reported, and its utility as a drop‐in replacement for indium‐tin oxide coated glass electrodes in organic photovoltaic devices is demonstrated. The zinc grids are fabricated using the unconventional approach of condensation coefficient modulation, using a ...

Aggregation‐Induced Energy Transfer Within a Donor–Acceptor–Donor Compound Featuring Hydrophobic Mesogenic Self‐Assembling Units

open access: yesChemistry – An Asian Journal, Volume 21, Issue 1, January 2026.
Hydrophobic mesogenic self‐assembling units induce the aggregation of a structurally distinct dibenzophenazine‐cored electronic donor–acceptor–donor organic emitter in aqueous environments. This aggregation promotes efficient intra‐aggregate energy transfer and results in a drastic shift in emission color.

Robustness of the Ensemble Score Filter to the Type of Assimilated Observation Networks

open access: yesAtmospheric Science Letters, Volume 27, Issue 1, January 2026.
The development of new geophysical data assimilation methods is accelerating, partly driven by advances in generative AI (GenAI). Using a surface quasi‐geostrophic model, we examine how a recently developed GenAI‐based ensemble method responds to changes in the observation network, compared to a standard ensemble Kalman filter. Our results suggest that

Quantification of cure for pharmacodynamic models of antimalarial drugs: Deterministic versus stochastic approaches

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Volume 92, Issue 1, Page 317-322, January 2026.
In silico pharmacokinetic–pharmacodynamic (PK–PD) models are used to inform dose optimisation in antimalarial drug development. Here the PK–PD models capture the change in parasite count over time because of exposure to antimalarial drug(s). For current deterministic PD models, simulated parasite numbers decline proportionally during treatment ...
