Value of the Rubber Hydrocarbon in Reclaimed Rubber

Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1928
Abstract Tire-tread stocks containing reclaim were so compounded that their ultimate composition was the same except for the percentage of reclaimed-rubber hydrocarbon substituted for new-rubber hydrocarbon. Cures were adjusted to give the technical optimum in the same time of cure.

Isoprene and Rubber. XIII. The Constitution of Rubber

Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1930
Abstract It is of special interest in connection with the structure of rubber as well as that of all natural products of high molecular weight that two basically different viewpoints exist, and that both have been supported by experimental investigations.

Photolysis of Rubber

Rubber Chemistry and Technology, 1947
Abstract Rubber hydrocarbon irradiated in vacuo is decomposed by ultraviolet light of wave length less than 4000 A˚. The rubber very rapidly becomes insoluble, and liberates a gaseous mixture which consists mainly of hydrogen when the irradiation temperature is less than 150° C.

The Rheology of Rubber Compounds with Rubber Flour

International Polymer Science and Technology, 2011
During the course of investigations into the rheological characteristics of SBR rubber compounds containing rubber flour as a function of the rubber flour content, we observed some distinctive features. Based on the results for the activation energy of viscous flow of the compounds under investigation and the specific characteristics of the rubber ...
