Novel Functional Materials via 3D Printing by Vat Photopolymerization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This Perspective systematically analyzes strategies for incorporating functionalities into 3D‐printed materials via Vat Photopolymerization (VP). It explores the spectrum of achievable functionalities in recently reported novel materials—such as conductive, energy‐storing, biodegradable, stimuli‐responsive, self‐healing, shape‐memory, biomaterials, and

Damage Detection of Laminated Rubber Bearings Based on the Antiresonance Frequencies of Periodic Structure and Its Sensitivity Analysis

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2022
An isolation bearing consumes most of the seismic energy of a structure and is vulnerable to destruction. The performance of isolation bearings is usually evaluated according to the global stiffness and energy dissipation capacity.

A Printed Zinc‐Ion Microbattery with Extended Shelf Life and Durability for Energy Autonomous Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a fully printed aqueous zinc‐ion microbattery (ZnIB) enabled by graphene‐decorated zinc anode and printed MnO@NC cathode using sustainable aqueous‐based ink formulations. The printed 3D electrodes ensure uniform zinc deposition, low overpotential, and long‐term stability.

Free vibration analysis of multi-span orthotropic bridge deck with rubber bearings

open access: yesDiagnostyka, 2021
In this paper, a semi-analytical approach is proposed for free vibration analysis of a multi-span, orthotropic bridge deck with rubber bearings. This allows more realistic modeling of vibration transmission from a bridge’s deck to its supports.

Peripheral Restraining-Type Rubber Bearing made of Different Rubber Materials.

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series C, 1994
In this paper, a peripheral restraining-type rubber bearing is proposed which has adjustable damping ability. An equation to calculate the damping ratio in a rubber bearing is derived, and the equation is confirmed through the vibration tests. The rubber bearing is composed of a core block made of superhigh damping synthetic rubber and a restraining ...

Melt Electrowriting High Resolution Poly(ethylene‐co‐vinyl acetate) Scaffolds for Soft Tissue Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work pioneers melt electrowriting (MEW) of polyethylene vinyl acetate (PEVA) to fabricate ultra‐compliant, high‐resolution scaffolds. By integrating microscale precision with soft tissue‐like biomechanics, PEVA overcomes stiffness‐driven limitations of conventional MEW polymers, establishing a mechanically biomimetic platform for soft tissue ...
