A method for rubber toughening powder coatings
Polymer Bulletin, 1993This paper describes a new method for rubber toughening brittle powder coatings. The design involves the use of toughening agents with specific physical and chemical properties. The modifiers are low-to-medium molecular weight polymers with polymerizable end groups (macromonomers).

Rubber Powder – A Perspective Filler of Thermoplastics
Macromolecular Symposia, 2005AbstractRubber powder, ground at ambient temperature, was compounded with polypropylene using only 16 L/D of a co‐rotating twin screw extruder. An optimum of extruder configuration and selected process parameters were found for compounds with a rubber filling rate of 50 wt.‐%. Restrictions of a reactive compounding were taken into account.

Structural and dynamic microheterogeneity of rubber powder
Russian Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2009Spin probe EPR spectroscopy was used to study the local dynamics of vulcanizates of an ethylenepropylene-diene elastomer and rubber powders prepared from them. It was revealed that the preparation of rubber powders is accompanied by the formation of a polymer network with an essentially nonuniform local structure.

Analysis on Modifying Asphalt by Rubber Powder
Key Engineering Materials, 2013This article by groups of comparison, analyzes the impact of he content, the mesh size and the kinds of Rubber Powder to Modified asphalt properties. Experiments concluded that, the content of rubber powder has the most impact to rubber powder modifying asphalt properties, and when the content in 10%~20% has a optimal value; the mesh size is not the ...

Journal of Thermoplastic Composite Materials, 2013
Chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber (CSM) was blended with chlorinated natural rubber (CNR) with various formulations and blend ratios (CSM/CNR: 100/0; 75/25; 50/50; 25/75; 0/100) keeping the total waste rubber powder (WRP) content constant at 50 phr (parts per 100 rubber).

Characterization of New Rubber Compounds with Incorporation of Recycled Rubber Powders
Materials Science ForumThe global growth of discarded end-of-life tires (ELT) is leading to a significant challenge of waste management. Many of these tires are incinerated or exported to countries with less stringent environmental regulations, exacerbating pollution and wasting resources.
