Genetic diversity of rubella virus at the present stage of rubella elimination and congenital rubella prevention programs

open access: yesЖурнал микробиологии, эпидемиологии и иммунобиологии, 2019
The review is devoted to an analysis of the genetic diversity of the rubella virus. Historical and geographical data of the circulation of various genotypes of the rubella virus were presented. The tendency to reduce the genetic diversity of the virus in

A novel cassette method for probe evaluation in the designed biochips [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A critical step in biochip design is the selection of probes with identical hybridisation characteristics. In this article we describe a novel method for evaluating DNA hybridisation probes, allowing the fine-tuning of biochips, that uses cassettes with ...

A novel mechanism underlying the innate immune response induction upon viral-dependent replication of host cell mRNA: A mistake of +sRNA viruses' replicases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Viruses are lifeless particles designed for setting virus-host interactome assuring a new generation of virions for dissemination. This interactome generates a pressure on host organisms evolving mechanisms to neutralize viral infection, which places the

Mandatory vaccinations in European countries, undocumented information, false news and the impact on vaccination uptake: the position of the Italian pediatric society. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
BACKGROUND: High rates of vaccination coverage are important in preventing infectious diseases. Enforcing mandatory vaccinations is one of the strategies that some Countries adopted to protect the community when vaccination coverage is not satisfactory ...

EVALUATION OF THREE RUBELLA VACCINES IN CONFERRING PROTECTION [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Public Health, 1974
The effeminacy of three rubella vaccines, HPV/77 IDE-5, Cendehill-51 and Wistar RA/27/3 in conferring immunity against untenanted rubella virus was compared. Vaccination resulted in 90-100 percent protection against clinical rubella. Intranasal challenge

Phylogeography of rubella virus in Asia: Vaccination and demography shape synchronous outbreaks

open access: yesEpidemics, 2019
Rubella virus causes mild disease in children but for women in the early stages of pregnancy, it can cause spontaneous abortion, congenital rubella syndrome (CRS) and associated birth defects.

PD‐L1‐Binding Antigen Presenters: Redirecting Vaccine‐Induced Antibodies for Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The PBAP‐gE complex anchors gE antigen to PD‐L1 on tumor cells. Vaccine‐induced anti‐gE antibodies simultaneously engage FcγRIIIa on NK cells and tumor‐bound PBAP‐gE, triggering NK cell activation and antibody‐dependent cellular cytotoxicity, thereby selectively eliminating PD‐L1–expressing tumor cells.

Membrane Sphingomyelin in Host Cells Is Essential for Nucleocapsid Penetration into the Cytoplasm after Hemifusion during Rubella Virus Entry

open access: yesmBio, 2022
The lipid composition of the host cell membrane is one of the key determinants of the entry of enveloped viruses into cells. To elucidate the detailed mechanisms behind the cell entry of rubella virus (RuV), one of the enveloped viruses, we searched for ...
