Ruby Laser Holography [PDF]

open access: possibleOptical Engineering, 1971
The solid state ruby laser makes possible the recording of holograms without either the granite tables or vibration isolation equipment needed with gas lasers. The ruby laser is unique in that it can be made to emit several joules of light in a tenth of a microsecond.

On the Perfection oi Laser Rubies

Kristall und Technik, 1969
AbstractRuby single crystals grown by the VERNEUIL method for application as laser crystals have a rather coarse substructure which is marked by the appearance of subgrains with mutual disorientations up to 1°. The subgrain boundaries were examined by means of X‐ray topographs obtained by the BERG‐BARRETT method.
