Novel materials based on Ruddlesden–Popper phases for solid oxide fuel cells and oxygen separation membranes: Fundamentals of oxygen transport

open access: yesChimica Techno Acta
In the field of modern hydrogen energy, obtaining pure hydrogen and syngas and then being able to use them for green energy production are significant problems.

Optical properties and electronic correlations in La3Ni2O7 bilayer nickelates under high pressure

open access: yesnpj Quantum Materials
We explore the optical properties of La3Ni2O7 bilayer nickelates by using density functional theory including a Coulomb repulsion term. Convincing agreement with recent experimental ambient-pressure spectra is achieved for U ~ 3 eV, which permits tracing

Reversible Phase Transition in Ruddlesden-Popper-type Oxysulfide Y2Ti2O5S2 for Lithium-Ion Battery Anodes

open access: yesElectrochemistry
Oxysulfides have the potential for battery electrodes to have durability and rate capability due to their rigid structures and electronic conductivity.

Ruddlesden–Popper Tin‐Based Halide Perovskite Field‐Effect Transistors

open access: yesSmall Structures
Tin‐based halide perovskites garner attention as a promising semiconducting layer material for field‐effect transistors (FETs) owing to their lower effective mass than their lead‐based counterparts. However, they suffer from low ambient stability because

Topochemical fluorination of some Ruddlesden-Popper phases

open access: yes, 2017
This thesis describes the synthesis and the characterization of some n = 2 Ruddlesden-Popper oxide phases (A3B2O7; A = La, Y, Sr or Ca; B = Cr, Ni or Mn) and their topochemically fluorinated phases. La2SrCr2O7 adopts an A2/a (a-a-c-/a-a-c-) distorted structure with antiferromagnetic order below TN ~ 260 K.
