The Finite-time Ruin Probabilities of a Bidimensional risk model with Constant Interest Force and correlated Brownian Motions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We follow some recent works to study bidimensional perturbed compound Poisson risk models with constant interest force and correlated Brownian Motions. Several asymptotic formulae for three different type of ruin probabilities over a finite-time horizon ...

Parisian & Cumulative Parisian Ruin Probability for Two-Dimensional Brownian Risk Model [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Parisian ruin probability in the classical Brownian risk model, unlike the standard ruin probability can not be explicitly calculated even in one-dimensional setup. Resorting on asymptotic theory, we derive in this contribution an asymptotic approximations of both Parisian and cumulative Parisian ruin probability and simultaneous ruin time for the two ...

Brucella NyxA and NyxB dimerization enhances effector function during infection

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Brucella abortus thrives inside cells thanks to the translocation of effector proteins that fine‐tune cellular functions. NyxA and NyxB are two effectors that destabilize the nucleolar localization of their host target, SENP3. We show that the Nyx proteins directly interact with each other and that their dimerization is essential for their function ...

Understanding gambling behaviour and risk attitudes using cryptocurrency-based casino blockchain data [PDF]

open access: yesRoyal Society Open Science, 2020
The statistical concept of gambler’s ruin suggests that gambling has a large amount of risk. Nevertheless, gambling at casinos and gambling on the Internet are both hugely popular activities.

Optimal Reinsurance: A Ruin-Related Uncertain Programming Approach [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
We investigate the role of reinsurance in maximizing the wealth of an insurance company. We use Liu's uncertainty theory (B. Liu, 2007) for the problem modeling and follow-up computations. The uncertainty measure of ruin for the insurance company is considered as the optimization criterion.

Surfaceome: a new era in the discovery of immune evasion mechanisms of circulating tumor cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the era of immunotherapies, many patients either do not respond or eventually develop resistance. We propose to pave the way for proteomic analysis of surface‐expressed proteins called surfaceome, of circulating tumor cells. This approach seeks to identify immune evasion mechanisms and discover potential therapeutic targets. Circulating tumor cells (

Practical approaches to the estimation of the ruin probability in a risk model with additional funds [PDF]

open access: yesModern Stochastics: Theory and Applications 2014, Vol. 1, 167-180, 2015
We deal with a generalization of the classical risk model when an insurance company gets additional funds whenever a claim arrives and consider some practical approaches to the estimation of the ruin probability. In particular, we get an upper exponential bound and construct an analogue to the De Vylder approximation for the ruin probability.

Parisian ruin probability for Markov additive risk processes

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2018
In this paper, we consider a spectrally negative Markov additive risk process. Using the theory of Jordan chain, a compact formula of Parisian ruin probability is given.

One-loop algebras and fixed flow trajectories in adjoint multi-scalar gauge theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We study the one loop renormalisation of 4d SU(N) Yang-Mills theory with M adjoint representation scalar multiplets related by O(M) symmetry. General M are of field theoretic interest, and the 4d one loop beta function of the gauge coupling g 2 vanishes ...

Respiratory complex I‐mediated NAD+ regeneration regulates cancer cell proliferation through the transcriptional and translational control of p21Cip1 expression by SIRT3 and SIRT7

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
NAD+ regeneration by mitochondrial complex I NADH dehydrogenase is important for cancer cell proliferation. Specifically, NAD+ is necessary for the activities of NAD+‐dependent deacetylases SIRT3 and SIRT7, which suppress the expression of p21Cip1 cyclin‐dependent kinase inhibitor, an antiproliferative molecule, at the translational and transcriptional
