Reservoir‐Driven Neuromorphic Computing Based on Composite Rare‐Earth/Transition Metal Oxide Memristor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A defect‐engineered Ag/Gd2O3:Nb2O5/Pt rare earth composite oxide memristor enables stable multilevel reservoir states through pulse driven conductance modulation. Experimentally measured device responses are incorporated into a device aware reservoir computing framework for CIFAR‐100 image classification, highlighting the potential of rare earth ...

Pressure‐Assisted Dimensional Transformation of 2D Hydrogenated Borophene into 0D Boron Quantum Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Hydrogenated borophene (HB) is transformed into distinct boron nanostructures through a solvent‐free thermal process. Under flowing nitrogen, hydrogen escape promotes reconstruction into B2O3 nanoplatelets, whereas hydrogen‐induced pressure under sealed conditions facilitates fragmentation into boron quantum dots.

CO2‐to‐CO Conversion in a Gas‐Fed, Zero‐Gap, PEM Electrolyzer Enabled by Polycations and Nitrogen‐Doped Carbon‐Supported Cobalt Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A gas‐fed, zero‐gap, PEM CO2 electrolyzer is realized by incorporating PDDA+ ions onto the carbonaceous Co/N‐C electrocatalyst, with gaseous H2 and CO2 fed into the anode and cathode, respectively. Operating without an aqueous electrolyte, the system sustains a peak FECO of 65.1% at 100 mA cm−2. ABSTRACT Electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction (ECO2R)

Modelling of Risk Process With Expense-Augmented Loss Under Economic Factors and Its Application to Aggregated General Insurance Data in Kenya

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences
In this paper, we reformulate the classical risk model to consider economic factors such as taxation and real force of interest. In the model, the premiums are assumed to be compounded by increasing annuities over some time.

Hydrogel‐Based 3D‐Printed Anthropomorphic Breast Phantom for Emulating Mechanical and Dielectric Properties of Mammary Tissue. Applications in Microwave Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printable breast phantom is developed using patient‐derived MRI data and hydrogels that replicate the dielectric properties of healthy and cancerous tissues. Mechanical and dielectric characterization confirm its suitability for microwave imaging.

Deficit at ruin with threshold proportional reinsurance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper, we focus our analysis on the distribution function and the moments of the deficit at ruin in a model with a threshold proportional reinsurance strategy using the Gerber-Shiu function. This strategy considers a proportional reinsurance, but

Designing Vanadium‐Based Oxide Electrocatalysts for Water Splitting: Experimental and Mechanistic Insights with Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review establishes structure‐property‐mechanism relationships across six modification strategies for V‐based oxide water‐splitting electrocatalysts: lattice engineering, heteroatom doping, interface engineering, carbon‐based hybridization, morphology engineering, and surface reconstruction and pre‐catalyst design, where dissolution is reframed as ...

Parisian ruin for the dual risk process in discrete-time [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper we consider the Parisian ruin probabilities for the dual risk model in a discrete-time setting. By exploiting the strong Markov property of the risk process we derive a recursive expression for the finite-time Parisian ruin probability, in ...
