Wind Turbine Blade Crack Detection and Assessment in Images Using Machine Learning

open access: yesWind Energy, Volume 29, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT As the wind energy industry matures, inspection of wind turbine blades (WTBs) is shifting from a manual process involving rope access and grading of damage, towards unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) photography and artificial intelligence‐aided processing of data.

DCA-Based Real-Time Residual Useful Life Prediction for Critical Faulty Component

open access: yesJournal of Control Science and Engineering, 2017
Residual useful life (RUL) prediction is significant for condition-based maintenance. Traditional data-driven RUL prediction method can only predict fault trend of the system rather than RUL of a specific system component.

Fusion model based RUL prediction method of lithium-ion battery under working conditions [PDF]

open access: yes
Under working conditions, since the remaining useful life (RUL) prediction of lithium-ion battery is subject to uncertainties of random charging and discharging, and infeasibility of battery capacity test, a fusion model based RUL prediction method was ...

Decoding Malignant Lung Ground Glass Opacities: A Radiologic–Pathologic Study From Pure to Semi‐Solid Lesions

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, Volume 17, Issue 17, September 2026.
In our study, among 135 completely resected pure or partially solid malignant GGOs, the presence of a feeding arterial vessel is an independent predictor to consolidation. Pathological variables are reported as early as this stage and LVI+ mGGOs present a significant lower disease‐free survival, regardless of their consolidation.
