Visualization of Rules in Rule-Based Classifiers

2012
Interpretation and visualization of the classification models are important parts of machine learning. Rule-based classifiers often contain too many rules to be easily interpreted by humans, and methods for post-classification analysis of the rules are needed. Here we present a strategy for circular visualization of sets of classification rules.

Transparent Deep Rule-Based Classifiers

2018
In this chapter, a new type of deep rule-based (DRB) classifier with a multi-layer architecture is presented for image classification, which combines the computer vision techniques with a massively parallel set of zero-order fuzzy rules as its learning engine.

Bankruptcy Prediction in Banks by Fuzzy Rule Based Classifier

2006 1st International Conference on Digital Information Management, 2007
In this paper, a fuzzy `if-then' rule based classifier is employed to predict bankruptcy in banks. This classification problem is formulated as a multi objective combinatorial optimization problem, where the rule base size is minimized and classification rate is maximized. Modified threshold accepting is applied to solve this optimization problem.

Improving learning of genetic rule-based classifier systems

IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, 1994
A genetic classifier system is reviewed and used for learning rules for classification. Two new strategies are described that enable all the letters of the alphabet to be learned. A "remembering" strategy locks in good rules to overcome forgetting that otherwise occurs during learning.

Benchmark of Rule-Based Classifiers in the News Recommendation Task

2015
In this paper, we present experiments evaluating Association Rule Classification algorithms on on-line and off-line recommender tasks of the CLEF NewsReel 2014 Challenge. The second focus of the experimental evaluation is to investigate possible performance optimizations of the Classification Based on Associations algorithm.

Fuzzy Dempster-Shafer reasoning for rule-based classifiers

Int. J. Intell. Syst., 1999
A fuzzy Dempster-Shafer model is proposed for various multisource classification purposes. Applications to a standard classification problem and for the assessment of a ground water vulnerability are included.

Model Driven Classifier Evaluation in Rule-Based System

2013
Rule-based evolutionary systems like learning classifier system are widely used in industry and automation. In some types of problems we have additional information about problem solution. This information can be used in the process of problem solutions.

ADX Algorithm: a brief description of a rule based classifier

2004
In this paper, a new rule based classifier is presented. ADX is an algorithm for inductive learning and for later classification of objects. As is typical for rule systems, an knowledge representation is easy to understand by a human. The power of ADX algorithm is that rules are not too complicated and learning time increases linearly with the size of ...
