Coverage-Based Classification Using Association Rule Mining
Building accurate and compact classifiers in real-world applications is one of the crucial tasks in data mining nowadays. In this paper, we propose a new method that can reduce the number of class association rules produced by classical class association

Improving the interpretability of classification rules discovered by an ant colony algorithm. [PDF]
The vast majority of Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) al- gorithms for inducing classification rules use an ACO-based procedure to create a rule in an one-at-a-time fashion. An improved search strategy has been proposed in the cAnt- MinerPB algorithm, where

Reducing the Complexity of Genetic Fuzzy Classifiers in Highly-Dimensional Classification Problems [PDF]
This paper introduces the Fast Iterative Rule-based Linguistic Classifier (FaIRLiC), a Genetic Fuzzy Rule-Based Classification System (GFRBCS) which targets at reducing the structural complexity of the resulting rule base, as well as its learning ...

A Recognition Method of Aggressive Driving Behavior Based on Ensemble Learning
Aggressive driving behavior (ADB) is one of the main causes of traffic accidents. The accurate recognition of ADB is the premise to timely and effectively conduct warning or intervention to the driver. There are some disadvantages, such as high miss rate

RRULES: An improvement of the RULES rule-based classifier
RRULES is presented as an improvement and optimization over RULES, a simple inductive learning algorithm for extracting IF-THEN rules from a set of training examples. RRULES optimizes the algorithm by implementing a more effective mechanism to detect irrelevant rules, at the same time that checks the stopping conditions more often.

ABSTRACT Background Sickle cell disease (SCD) is a chronic, inherited hemoglobinopathy that requires frequent hospitalization for disease‐related complications. Canadian data on inpatient care is limited. This study compared caregiver‐reported hospital experiences of children with SCD to those with cystic fibrosis (CF), a chronic, autosomal recessive ...
