The Isabena catchment (445 km2), Spain, features highly diverse spatial heterogeneity in land use, lithology and rainfall. Consequently, the relative contribution in terms of water and sediment yield varies immensely between its subcatchments, and also temporally.

AN AGNPS-BASED RUNOFF AND SEDIMENT YIELD MODEL FOR TWO SMALLWATERSHEDS IN GERMANY
Transactions of the ASAE, 1999The event-based Agricultural Non-Point Source (AGNPS) pollution model is used extensively to simulate surface runoff, sediment yield and nutrient transport in unmonitored watersheds. Investigation, that compare AGNPS predictions to measured data are rare. The objective of the present study was to compare surface runoff and sediment yield predictions

Natural and Modified Plant Communities As Related to Runoff and Sediment Yields
1975Increase of human population will intensify efforts to supplement present water supplies. The U.S. Geological Survey estimates that U.S. water needs will triple by the year 2000. This chapter summarizes natural hydrologic relationships and some results of attempts to make better use of water resources, both at the point of origin and downstream, by ...

A 12‐month study of runoff and suspended sediment yield was undertaken in a 0.93 km2 catchment in southern Chile. Rainfall and total runoff for the period December 1983–November 1984 were estimated at 2170 and 1150 mm, respectively, representing a runoff coefficient of 0.53.
