Bladder rupture with incomplete rupture of the uterus

Abstract During a 10 year period, 1955–1965, there were 46,810 deliveries in three hospitals in the Sudbury, Ontario, area. In this group there were 26 instances of rupture of the uterus, an incidence of 1 in 1,800. These cases are reviewed with respect to the causes of rupture and the management. Emphasis is placed upon prevention.
