The Epidemiology of Pesticides in a Rural Area
American Industrial Hygiene Association Journal, 1969Abstract A random sample of 155 farmers was studied with respect to use of pesticides and to farming habits and products. Significant differences were found between the “high” and “low” pesticide use groups with respect to hematocrit, hemoglobin, and prothrombin time values.

Women & Politics, 1997Abstract This study assesses female leadership in rural areas through analysis of interviews with government officials and recognized local leaders. Findings of previous community studies, which suggested that structural characteristics of communities influence their leadership patterns, have been incorporated into this study of gender.
