A Soft, Flexible Implant for Wireless Photothermal–Pyroelectric Neurostimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A replication strategy is used to enlarge the exposed surface area of barium titanate within flexible films with embedded carbon nanotubes, enabling efficient photothermal‐pyroelectric stimulation. Polar crystalline nanosheets show superior performance in guiding neural progenitor cells toward neuronal differentiation.

Decoding Proton‐Coupled Electron Transfer Mechanism of Nicotine for Multi‐Scenario Portable Electrochemical Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A key challenge in nicotine electroanalysis is the unresolved complexity of its interface process, which directly determines sensor metrics. Herein, the proton‐coupled electron transfer mechanism of nicotine is decoded for multi‐scenario portable electrochemical sensing.

Socio-economic differentials in child stunting are consistently larger in urban than rural areas [PDF]

open access: yes
Urban-rural comparisons of childhood undernutrition suggest that urban populations are better-off than rural populations. However, these comparisons could mask the large differentials that exist among socioeconomic groups in urban areas.
