DEVELOPMENT OF STATISTICAL MODEL FOR THE PREDICTION OF PERMANENT DEFORMATION IN PAVING MATERIALS
Permanent deformations (rutting) of asphalt pavements which appear in many roads in Iraq. have caused a major impact on pavement performance by reducing the useful service life of pavement and creating services hazards for highway users.

Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Physical trampling is a ubiquitous activity of walking vertebrates, but is poorly understood as a mechanism impacting biogeochemical cycling in soil. Lack of detailed knowledge of soil abiotic–biotic interactions underlying trampling effects, and the primary sources of ...

ABSTRACT This study examines the factors influencing producer adoption of cover cropping and no‐till farming, two key carbon sequestration practices, within the context of voluntary carbon credit programmes (CCPs) in Kansas. Using a mixed‐methods survey that combines discrete choice experiments with farm‐level data from 370 producers, we estimate ...

Abstract This article analyses key factors related to citizen participation in place governance processes. We study how network characteristics (ties and trust), sense of power (ability to influence outcomes), and affective characteristics such as bond with place (place attachment) relate to resource‐intensive and resource‐extensive citizen ...

Ethnic Minority Representation After the 2024 General Election: Does Ethnicity No Longer Matter?
Abstract With a new record of ethnic minority MPs elected in 2024, Westminster is nearly fully representative of voters of ethnic minority origins. This outcome was not entirely dependent on Labour's landslide, with pre‐election analyses showing that diversity of MPs would have improved with all possible election results.

Concrete block pavement (CBP) is distinct from typical concrete or asphalt pavements. It is built by using individual blocks with unique construction patterns forming a discrete surface layer to bear traffic loadings.

In Alpine chamois, the complete wear of the first molar coincides with the beginning of senescence and the progress of tooth wear on calcareous substrate is slower than the one on other substrates, increasing life expectancy. Thus, the first molar wear may actually be considered as an effective descriptor of senescence stage.

ABSTRACT Background Rural residents are more likely to suffer moderate and severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) and experience delay to definitive care than urban patients. Prior studies comparing these populations were based on hospitalised patients only. We examined TBI outcomes incorporating pre‐hospital mortality to determine the association between
