Homeostasis of Gut Microbiota Protects against Susceptibility to Fungal Pneumonia
Fungal pneumonia induces inflammation, shown by heightened IL‐6, IL‐1β, TNF‐α levels and a growth in Staphylococcus in the alveolar flora. The gut microbiota, acting through the gut‐lung axis via blood, impacts fungal pneumonia susceptibility by altering lung metabolism and inflammatory responses.

Patterns in syntactic dependency networks [PDF]
Many languages are spoken on Earth. Despite their diversity, many robust language universals are known to exist. All languages share syntax, i.e., the ability of combining words for forming sentences. The origin of such traits is an issue of open debate.

During object grasping in macaques, information flow between the primary sensory cortex (S1) and the primary motor cortex (M1) is modulated by tactile properties of the target. Intracortical micro‐stimulation in S1 reliably evokes M1 responses that resemble those naturally generated during grasping under specific tactile conditions.

Knowledge Representation with Attribute Grammars [PDF]
Summary: The use of attribute grammars for knowledge representation is examined in the present paper. It is shown how data knowledge and knowledge-base knowledge can be represented using syntactic and semantic notation. Control knowledge is represented by the parsing mechanism of the interpreter used.

The engineering 2D polymer/graphene heterostructures with aligned 1D mesochannels synergizes directional ion transport pathways, corrosion‐resistant interfaces, and rapid electron highways, overcoming traditional bottlenecks. The design scalability and tunability enable universal adaptation to diverse redox‐active polymers, while its mechanistic ...

Attention and empirical studies of grammar [PDF]
How is the generation of a grammatical sentence implemented by the human brain? A starting place for such an inquiry lies in linguistic theory. Unfortunately, linguistic theories illuminate only abstract knowledge representations and do not indicate how ...

Tree automata and attribute grammars
Summary: The translational mechanism of attribute grammars using tree automata are investigated. The pushdown tree-to-string transducer with a certain synchronization facility as a model to realize transformations by attribute grammars is proposed and its basic properties using tree- walking finite state automata are studied. To demonstrate the utility

Inspired by the prolactin secretion profile under normal physiological conditions, biomimetic prolactin‐releasing microneedles are designed. Under the control of near infrared (NIR), these responsive microneedles facilitate pulsed release of prolactin to inhibit fatty liver formation.
