We integrated ecological niche modeling (MaxEnt) with a remote sensing–driven machine‐learning productivity model (BRT), using 3139 Chinese fir occurrences, MODIS‐derived NPP, and 37 climate–soil predictors to project future suitability and productivity under a 13‐GCM CMIP6 ensemble (SSP245/SSP585).

The dhole (Cuon alpinus), an endangered carnivore species and one of China's highest‐level protected animals, faces significant threats from both climate change and human disturbance. Since the 1980s, dhole habitat has dramatically shrunk by approximately half, with the current main stronghold being the Qinghai‐Tibet Plateau.

Assessment of Nontarget Small Mammal Occupancy Using Broadly Designed Camera Arrays
Camera traps are a mainstay method in ecological research and monitoring, often focusing on a single species; however, many nontarget species are captured as well. We aimed to assess the distributions and trends in the occurrence of nontarget species captured by an existing camera trap study initially designed to monitor mesocarnivores in Rhode Island,

We applied the two‐stage, AI‐based TOFSI approach to test automatic pollen recognition with fossil pollen samples. The algorithm performs very well for all major pollen types and other non‐pollen object classes, suggesting that such tools have the potential to substantially increase the efficiency of pollen analysis.

This study integrates large‐scale soil metagenomic data with environmental variables to map and model the relative abundance of nutrient‐degrading enzyme‐encoding genes across US ecoregions. Machine‐learning predictions reveal strong environmental controls and spatial heterogeneity in microbial functional potential, with notable shifts projected under ...

Conceptual framework linking leaf‐level photorespiratory biochemistry to global‐scale uncertainty in carbon cycle modelling. Rubisco acts as a temperature‐sensitive biochemical switch: At optimal temperatures (~25°C) carboxylation dominates and drives biomass accumulation, whereas heat stress (> 35°C) favours oxygenation and initiates photorespiration (
