Shallow groundwater depth (SGWD) across the non‐permafrost plains of the Qinghai–Xizang Plateau decreased at averagely 0.02 m year−1, adding 31.44 Gt of freshwater storage from 2000 to 2020 and sustaining ∼53 500 km2 of alpine ecosystems. Eine Genomanalyse zeigte das Vorkommen zahlreicher Terpensynthasen des bakteriellen Typs in Springschwänzen. Vier Enzyme aus Sinella curviseta wurden funktionell charakterisiert, was zur Isolierung mehrerer Verbindungen führte, darunter Sinellenether, der erste identifizierte Diterpenether einer Terpensynthase mit einem neuartigen Grundgerüst.

Evolutionary, Functional and Mechanistic Characterisation of Microbial Terpene Synthase‐Like Genes From Springtails

A genome analysis revealed the presence of many bacterial‐type terpene synthases in springtails. Four enzymes from Sinella curviseta were functionally characterised, resulting in the isolation of several compounds including sinellene ether, the first diterpene ether identified from a terpene synthase that represents a novel skeleton.

Marine‐derived type I collagen is extracted from Scyliorhinus canicula skin and characterized by physicochemical and morphological analyses. The collagen exhibits excellent biocompatibility, promotes wound healing, reduces inflammatory mediators, and inhibits melanogenesis.
