Optimal selection of time functions for describing coal mining-induced dynamic subsidence at single surface point using AIC criterion

open access: yesMeitan kexue jishu, 2023
The time function method is one of the most commonly used methods for predicting surface dynamic displacements in coal mine areas. In which, the accuracy and reliability of the predicted displacements, to a large extent, depends on the selected ...

Large hadron collider constraints on some simple $$Z^\prime $$ Z ′ models for $$b\rightarrow s \mu ^+\mu ^-$$ b → s μ + μ - anomalies

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2021
We examine current Large Hadron Collider constraints on some simple $$Z^\prime $$ Z ′ models that significantly improve on Standard Model fits to $$b\rightarrow s \mu ^+\mu ^-$$ b → s μ + μ - transition data.

A multistep extrapolated S-parameter model for arbitrary on-chip interconnect structures [PDF]

open access: yes2009 17th IFIP International Conference on Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI-SoC), 2009
Accurate high-frequency interconnect models are needed for the precise estimation of signal delays, crosstalk, and energy losses in complex on-chip communication structures, such as hierarchical bus architectures and networks-on-chip. In this chapter we introduce a computationally-efficient wide-bandwidth characterization method based on an incremental

TDR-based Multiple Leak Detection System using an S-parameter Transmission Line Model for Long-Distance Pipelines

open access: yesInternational Journal of Prognostics and Health Management, 2018
Leaks in water distribution systems should be detected to avoid economic, environmental, and social problems. Existing Bayesian Inference based time-domainreflectometry (TDR) methods for leak detection have a limitation for real applications due to the ...

Enhancing DNN Models for EEG/ECoG BCI With a Novel Data-Driven Offline Optimization Method

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
A better understanding of ElectroEncephaloGraphy (EEG) and ElectroCorticoGram (ECoG) signals would get us closer to comprehending brain functionality, creating new avenues for treating brain abnormalities and developing novel Brain-Computer Interface ...

The oblique S parameter in Higgsless electroweak models [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2012
We present a one-loop calculation of the oblique S parameter within Higgsless models of electroweak symmetry breaking. We have used a general effective Lagrangian with at most two derivatives, implementing the chiral symmetry breaking SU(2)_L x SU(2)_R -> SU(2)_{L+R} with Goldstones, gauge bosons and one multiplet of vector and axial-vector ...

Pointing Error Correction for a Moving-Platform Electro-Optical Telescope Using an Optimized Parameter Model

open access: yesSensors, 2023
This paper proposes a new optimized parameter model that enhances the pointing accuracy of moving-platform electro-optical telescopes (MPEOTs). The study begins by comprehensively analyzing the error sources, including the telescope and the platform ...

S-Parameter Model of Three Parallel Interconnect Lines Generating Negative Group-Delay Effect

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
This paper develops a negative group-delay (NGD) microwave circuit theory regarding topology consists of three parallel interconnect lines (3-PILs). The NGD topology under study is built using completely distributed microstrip lines. The 3-PIL NGD theory

$S$ parameter from a prototype composite-Higgs model

open access: yesProceedings of The 38th International Symposium on Lattice Field Theory — PoS(LATTICE2021), 2022
We have calculated the low-energy constant $L_{10}$ in a prototype composite Higgs model with dynamical fermions in two different representations of the gauge group. The resulting contribution of the new strong sector to the $S$ parameter is consistent with current bounds on the vacuum misalignment parameter.

Effective Leptophilic WIMPs at the e + e − collider

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We consider higher-dimensional effective (EFT) operators consisting of fermion dark matter (DM) connecting to Standard Model (SM) leptons upto dimension six.
