Barium stars and the s-process
Theoretical s-process calculations are presented. Isotopic abundances are summed, so that atomic number Z becomes the independent variable. This form of representation of the calculations has distinct advantages in the interpretation of stellar data, since one generally does not have isotopic information.

Outcomes of Live Virus Vaccination in Patients With Vascular Anomalies Being Treated With Sirolimus
ABSTRACT Background Live vaccination in patients with vascular anomalies (VA) receiving sirolimus remains controversial due to immunosuppressive effects and theoretical risks. Procedure This single‐center retrospective study included patients with VA less than 4 years old at the start of sirolimus therapy who were incompletely vaccinated.

A comparative study of two 47 Tuc giant stars with different s-process enrichment
Here we aim to understand the origin of 47 Tuc's La-rich star Lee 4710. We report abundances for O, Na, Mg, Al, Si, Ca, Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Co, Ni, Zn, Y, Zr, Ba, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, and Eu, and present a detailed abundance analysis of two 47 Tuc stars with ...

Hydrothermal carbonization as a preliminary step to pine cone pyrolysis for bioenergy production
The main objective of this work was to elucidate the benefits associated with including hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) as the previous step to traditional fast pyrolysis of Tunisian pine cone (PC).

S-process studies - The exact solution
The exact solution to the unbranched s-process network is computed for the range of neutron exposures of astrophysical interest, and the exact solution for the case of an arbitrary degree of degeneracy of the cross-section values is obtained. The validity of the Clayton, Fowler, Hull, and Zimmerman approximate solution is determined by direct ...

ABSTRACT Background Kaposiform lymphangiomatosis (KLA) is an aggressive complex lymphatic anomaly. Patients exhibit malformed lymphatic vessels and often develop hemorrhagic effusions and elevated angiopoietin‐2 (Ang‐2) levels. A somatic NRAS p.Q61R (NRASQ61R) mutation has been associated with KLA.

Stellar Mixing and s-PROCESS Nucleosynthesis
A model for the operation of the s-process is studied in which neutron capture occurs only in a thin layer at the bottom of a deep convective envelope. Simultaneous convective mixing and neutron capture are described by means of diffusion equations. We find that this model admits abundance distributions which resemble the solar system distribution, but
