s-process enrichment in the planetary nebula NGC 3918. Results from deep echelle spectrophotometry [PDF]
(Abridged) The chemical content of the planetary nebula NGC 3918 is investigated through deep, high-resolution UVES at VLT spectrophotometric data. We identify and measure more than 750 emission lines, making ours one of the deepest spectra ever taken ...

ABSTRACT Claudin‐6 has emerged as a promising immunotherapeutic target, yet protein‐level data in atypical teratoid/rhabdoid tumors (AT/RTs) have been inconsistent. We analyzed 36 well‐characterized AT/RT samples and found membranous claudin‐6 protein expression in 58% of cases, with striking enrichment in the molecular subgroup AT/RT‐TYR (100%) and ...

First Results of the 64Ni(n,γ) Cross Section Measurement at n_TOF
The neutron capture cross section of 64Ni is an important parameter in nuclear astrophysics that is needed to accurately simulate stellar nucleosynthesis and validate stellar models.

The interplay between macronutrients and sleep: focus on circadian and homeostatic processes
Sleep disturbances are an emerging risk factor for metabolic diseases, for which the burden is particularly worrying worldwide. The importance of sleep for metabolic health is being increasingly recognized, and not only the amount of sleep plays an ...

s-Process Elements and Galactic Evolution [PDF]
Among the observations of heavy s-process elements at the surface of very metal poor stars (population II stars), Peterson 1976 and Spite and Spite 1977 recently showed that the ratio of the abundances of these elements against that of Fe increases with increasing [Fe/H].

TESTING THE ROLE OF SNe Ia FOR GALACTIC CHEMICAL EVOLUTION OF p-NUCLEI WITH TWO-DIMENSIONAL MODELS AND WITH s-PROCESS SEEDS AT DIFFERENT METALLICITIES [PDF]
The bulk of p isotopes is created in the “gamma processes” mainly by sequences of photodisintegrations and beta decays in explosive conditions in Type Ia supernovae (SNIa) or in core collapse supernovae (ccSN).

ABSTRACT Background Wilms tumor (WT) treatment imposes a significant time burden on patients and their families. Time toxicity is a patient‐centered metric that quantifies the burden of healthcare interaction. We sought to define time toxicity in the first year after diagnosis of WT and hypothesized that it would increase as tumor stage and treatment ...

Neutron capture time scale of the s-process, estimated from s-process krypton in a meteorite
A krypton fraction enriched in s-process isotopes was extracted from a mineral fraction of the Murchison C2 chondrite. The (Kr-86)/(Kr-84) ratio is enhanced by 6 standard deviations, showing that significant amounts of Kr-86 were made in the s-process, despite the short, 10.8 yr beta-decay half-life of its precursor, Kr-85.

The lead discrepancy in intrinsically s-process enriched post-AGB stars in the Magellanic Clouds [PDF]
Context. Our understanding of the s-process nucleosynthesis in asymptotic giant branch (AGB) stars is incomplete. AGB models predict, for example, large overabundances of lead (Pb) compared to other s-process elements in metal-poor low-mass AGB stars ...

ABSTRACT Background Central nervous system (CNS) involvement in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is assessed by cell counting and cytomorphology from cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and is used for treatment stratification worldwide. The ratio of “CNS2” patients in clinical trials ranges from 3% to 40%, with unclear prognostic significance ...
