Occurrence data uncover patterns of allopatric divergence and interspecies interactions in the evolutionary history of Sceloporus lizards. [PDF]
Here, we use open source databases to understand the evolutionary impact of sympatric species on phenotypes. We found that species are not evenly distributed across the Americas and that small‐bodied lizard species are geographically overdispersed and are often found in sympatry with species of a different size class.
