The accession Solanum peruvianum PI 126944 has been reported as resistant to different biotic and abiotic stresses. In previous works of the group, advanced generations were derived from two interspecific hybrids, including up to pseudo-F6 generations and backcrosses to the cultivated species of some of the pseudo-Fn generations.

We studied leaf morphology in in vitro plants of species segregated from the Solanum peruvianum L. s.l. complex: S. arcanum Peralta, S. corneliomulleri J.F.Macbr., S. huaylasense Peralta, and S. peruvianum L. s.str. In these species, the regeneration ability from root and leaf explants cultured in vitro in 2 organogenic media (SIM-1 and SIM-2) was also

To characterize the molecular structure of the S alleles in Lycopersicon peruvianum, we isolated two genomic fragments that corresponded to cDNAs for S11 and S12 RNases from a genomic library of a plant with the S11S12 genotype. The coding regions and the flanking regions in both fragments were sequenced.
