Fruit Enzyme Activity of Molasses Combination Against Control of S. Aureus and E. Coli Bacteria

Journal of Sustainable Materials Processing and Management, 2022
This study aims to determine the effect of the pineapple and orange peel enzymes combined with molasses on the effectiveness of the inhibition zones of gram positive (S. Aureus) and gram negative (E. Coli) bacteria. The study was conducted using the disc method, where the bacterial samples used were at a concentration of 200 ...

Transparent and flexible antibacterial photocrosslinked thin films against the S. aureus and E. coli pathogen bacteria

Materials Today Communications, 2021
Abstract The study aims to obtain simple, transparent, and flexible coatings that are produced using an environmentally-friendly method, have either positive or negative charge density on their surfaces, and have antibacterial properties. For this purpose, poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEGDA), trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA), and ...

Improved method for the isolation of RNA from bacteria refractory to disruption, including S. aureus producing biofilm

Gene, 2012
The development of fast, reliable and inexpensive phenol protocol is described for the isolation of RNA from bacterial biofilm producers. The method was tested on Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) and other biofilm-producing gram-negative microorganisms and provided the highest integrity of RNA recovery in comparison to other methods reported here.

Inactivation of bacteria G+-S. aureus and G−-E. coli by phototoxic polythiophene incorporated in ZSM-5 zeolite

Chemosphere, 2006
A new heterogeneous photocatalyst was prepared by oxidative polymerization of the thiophene with ferric chloride in the ZSM-5 zeolite type. The synthesized polythiophene absorbs radiation in the visible range of the electromagnetic spectrum and by illumination with visible light generates reactive oxygen species (ROS) in water medium.
