Therapeutic applications of a novel humanized monoclonal antibody targeting chemokine receptor CCR9 in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 10, Page 2978-2988, October 2025.
C–C chemokine receptor type 9 (CCR9) is an immune checkpoint in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Novel anti‐CCR9 antibody SRB2 was evaluated in combination with cytotoxic chemotherapy in PDAC cells, patient‐derived organoids, patient‐derived xenografts, and humanized mouse models.

Quality of Life of Families Who Have Children With Cornelia de Lange Syndrome in Brazil: Opportunities for Improvement

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, Volume 197, Issue 10, October 2025.
ABSTRACT This exploratory cross‐sectional study aimed to estimate the family quality of life (FQoL) among 70 Brazilian families with children with Cornelia de Lange syndrome (CdLS). Data were collected using sociodemographic and clinical data forms, the Barthel index for activities of daily living, and the Beach Center FQoL Scale, a 5‐point Likert tool

Neopterin as a Tool for Primate Ecoimmunology: Current Knowledge, Practical Application, and New Directions From Captivity to the Wild

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Primatology, Volume 87, Issue 10, October 2025.
Neopterin is a sensitive and specific biomarker of intracellular pathogen infection and chronic inflammation, and affected by environmental, life‐history, and sex‐contextual factors. This review offers best‐practice guidelines and practical advice on sample collection, storage, and analysis in primates when used for ecoimmunological conservation and ...

Cross‐country variance in facial emotion recognition in presymptomatic and symptomatic behavioral variant frontotemporal dementia: Insights from the GENFI and ReDLat consortia

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 21, Issue 10, October 2025.
Abstract INTRODUCTION We investigated international differences in facial emotion recognition (FER) across stages of frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Previous studies may have missed early decline by combining data and masking variations in FER across countries.

Population Pharmacokinetic/Toxicodynamic Model for Polymyxin B in Critically Ill Patients to Identify the Risk of Nephrotoxicity

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 118, Issue 4, Page 841-852, October 2025.
Polymyxins are used against highly resistant Gram‐negative pathogens, and nephrotoxicity (acute kidney injury, AKI) is the major dose‐limiting adverse effect. We aimed to develop a well‐informed population pharmacokinetic/toxicodynamic (PK/TD) model using the largest polymyxin B‐treated critically ill patient population studied to inform polymyxin B ...

Nanostructured Biosensor Based on Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes and Antimicrobial Peptide Temporin‐PTA for Bacterial Detection

open access: yesElectroanalysis, Volume 37, Issue 10, October 2025.
A nanostructured electrochemical biosensor was developed by assembling MWCNTs with the antimicrobial peptide Temporin‐PTA. The platform enables rapid bacterial detection within 5 min, differentiates Gram‐negative from Gram‐positive pathogens, and achieves a low detection limit of 10 CFU/mL.
