The spatial pattern of peri-saccadic compression for small saccades

open access: yesJournal of Vision, 2010
In the temporal vicinity of a saccade onset, visual stability is transiently disrupted and briefly flashed visual stimuli undergo a systematic perceptual mislocalization. Specifically, when a stimulus is flashed around saccade onset, localization judgments are grossly biased toward the saccade endpoint.

Microsaccades Tracking by Secondary Speckle Pattern Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, EarlyView.
A new approach for detecting microsaccades is introduced using secondary speckle patterns reflected from the sclera. This method offers potential benefits in capturing subtle eye movements and overcoming limitations in traditional pupil‐tracking systems.

Role of Primate Superior Colliculus in Preparation and Execution of Anti-Saccades and Pro-Saccades

open access: yesJournal of Neuroscience, 1999
We investigated how the brain switches between the preparation of a movement where a stimulus is the target of the movement, and a movement where a stimulus serves as a landmark for an instructed movement elsewhere.

Downconversion Master Slave OCT With a Bidirectional Sweeping Laser

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper explores the challenges of signal processing when using optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging instruments driven by asymmetric MHz bidirectional sweeping lasers. A downconversion master–slave (DMS) method is proposed as a viable alternative to the traditional OCT protocol.

Microsaccades and Exploratory Saccades in a Naturalistic Environment

open access: yes, 2011
Microsaccades, small saccadic eye movements made during fixation, might accompany shifts of visual attention, serve to refresh the retinal image, or have some other function.
