A Volatile Cue From a Specialist Herbivore Primes Gene Expression Against Biotic Stress in Tall Goldenrod (Solidago altissima L.)

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, Volume 49, Issue 3, Page 1424-1438, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Insect‐derived molecular cues can prime plant defences against herbivore attack. The genes that are sensitive to priming, and how their expression changes on the scale of days, have not been fully resolved. Moreover, priming may affect interactions with insects that are not the source of the priming cue.

When Rain Meets Surge: Assessing Future Typhoon‐Driven Compound Flood Hazard Profiles in a Rapidly Urbanizing Delta

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Volume 131, Issue 3, 16 February 2026.
Abstract Typhoon‐induced Compound Flood (TCF), driven by the combined impact of extreme rainfall and increasing coastal water level (CWL), poses a substantial threat to urban safety. This study presents a framework for assessing the future compound flood hazard profiles in a coastal megacity in the Delta region of southern China.

Indocyanine green assists with sentinel lymph node mapping in pediatric and adolescent patients: A Pediatric Surgical Oncology Research Collaborative prospective observational study

open access: yesCancer, Volume 132, Issue 4, 15 February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Sentinel lymph node (SLN) biopsy is a critical staging tool in skin and soft tissue cancers. Although technetium lymphoscintigraphy is the most common adjunct, indocyanine green (ICG) demonstrates a promising alternative in pediatric, adolescent, and young adult (AYA) skin and soft tissue cancers. Methods and Objectives Evaluate the

Timing of Glucocorticoid Treatment Dictates Glucocorticoid Receptor Actions Modulating the NLRP3‐Inflammasome Activation in Macrophages

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 3, 15 February 2026.
Utilizing a clinically relevant course of treatment, our study reveals that glucocorticoids protect against the late NLRP3 inflammasome activation regulating the IL‐1β secretion, the processing of GSDM‐D and pyroptosis following signal 2 stimulation. These potent anti‐inflammatory effects are mediated by the activation of GR signaling and the expansion

A prospective hazard analysis of real‐time adaptive helical tomotherapy

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 27, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Background Following the release in 2016 of the report of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine Task Group 100, there has been growing interest in the use of prospective hazard analysis in radiation therapy. System Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA) is an emerging technique in this domain that is particularly suited to processes ...
