When Social Sharing Increases Pride in Customized Products
ABSTRACT In the marketplace, customers often customize products. Enabled by technological advances, companies can encourage customers to share these customization experiences (e.g., via social sharing buttons) with others, such as friends. Across six studies with mixed methods (field, lab, online) and in various product domains (food, fitness trackers,

Mathematical Modeling of Measured Recalescence Velocities
ABSTRACT A moving‐boundary problem of synchronous directional and volumetric solidification in undercooled liquid drops is formulated and solved. Directional solidification is caused by the temperature gradient along the spatial direction, whereas volumetric growth of new phase elements is caused by the melt undercooling ahead of the phase transition ...

Practical debiasing with the Covariant Prior in the proportional regime when p < n
We show that the Covariant Prior can be used to effectively de-bias the resulting MAP estimator in the proportional regime, where the number of covariates p grows proportionally to n , the number of samples, with p

Abstract Purpose Portable low‐field (<0.1T) MRI is increasingly used for point‐of‐care imaging, but electromagnetic interference (EMI) presents a significant challenge, especially in unshielded environments. EMI can degrade image quality and compromise diagnostic utility.

Landscape heterogeneity shapes the spatial and diet partitioning of a montane carnivore guild
Interspecific competition is a structural force in animal communities and can be particularly influential among species with similar taxonomic or ecological characteristics. In carnivore communities, heterogeneity in resource availability and landscape structure can ameliorate competitive interactions, but it is often difficult to quantify the space ...

Study on transient parison formation at various strokes during extrusion of Newtonian and viscoelastic fluids. In the presence of an offset between the mandrel and the bushing, Newtonian fluids exhibit a reduction in extrudate diameter, whereas viscoelastic fluids display diameter swelling only at flow rates exceeding a critical threshold.
