Enhancing Efficiency in Multiscale Simulation: Comparing a Lagrange Multiplier Based Approach and a Weak Staggered Coupling With Optional SPML Interface for Wave Propagation

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The representation of material failure due to wave propagation is essential for the numerical analysis of engineering structures under high dynamic loading. Explicit time integration schemes are well established for this kind of application.

Cosmological Dynamics of Interacting Dark Energy and Dark Matter in f(Q)$f(Q)$ Gravity

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, EarlyView.
Abstract In this work, the behavior of interacting dark energy (DE) and dark matter (DM) within a model of f(Q)$f(Q)$ gravity is explored, employing the standard framework of dynamical system analysis. The power‐law f(Q)$f(Q)$ model is considered, incorporating two different forms of interacting DE and DM: 3αHρm$3\alpha H\rho _m$ and α3HρmρDE$\frac ...

Integrating plot‐based and remotely sensed data to map vegetation types in a New Zealand warm‐temperate rainforest

open access: yesApplied Vegetation Science, Volume 25, Issue 4, October/December 2022., 2022
We demonstrated a new workflow to extend and map a national classification into a new area. Three associations could be mapped using remotely sensed predictors alone (Sentinel and LiDAR), whereas two also required environmental predictors. Our map will guide the indigenous peoples of the area to manage threats to valued communities and their species ...

Structure and Migration Mechanisms of Oxygen Interstitial Defects in β‐Ga2O3

open access: yesphysica status solidi (b), EarlyView.
The structures and diffusion mechanisms of interstitial oxygen in different charge states in β‐Ga2O3 are extensively studied using density functional theory. The results provide a detailed map of the potential energy surface for oxygen interstitials in β‐Ga2O3 and demonstrate how these ions migrate between different rings in the structure.
