A Triskelion-Shaped Saddle-Helix Hybrid Nanographene.
A unique rippled nanographene consisting of 52 fused rings is presented in which six out-of-plane motifs are fully fused into a triangular aromatic surface with a size of approximately 2.5 nm.

Complex saddle points in QCD at finite temperature and density
The sign problem in QCD at finite temperature and density leads naturally to the consideration of complex saddle points of the action or effective action.

The Region of Validity of Homogeneous Nucleation Theory [PDF]
We examine the region of validity of Langer's picture of homogeneous nucleation. Our approach is based on a coarse-grained free energy that incorporates the effect of fluctuations with momenta above a scale k.

Self‐Trapped Hole Migration and Defect‐Mediated Thermal Quenching of Luminescence in α‐ and β‐Ga2O3
Temperature‐dependent photoluminescence and first‐principles calculations reveal self‐trapped hole migration as the microscopic origin of thermal quenching in α‐ and β‐Ga2O3. The low migration barrier in α‐Ga2O3 enables defect trapping and enhances blue luminescence, while the higher barrier in β‐Ga2O3 preserves ultraviolet emission at elevated ...

Two-terminal conductance fluctuations in the integer quantum Hall regime [PDF]
Motivated by recent experiments on the conductance fluctuations in mesoscopic integr quantum Hall systems, we consider a model in which the Coulomb interactions are incorporated into the picture of edge-state transport through a single saddle-point.

Computational Modeling of Reticular Materials: The Past, the Present, and the Future
Reticular materials are advanced materials with applications in emerging technologies. A thorough understanding of material properties at operating conditions is critical to accelerate the deployment at an industrial scale. Herein, the status of computational modeling of reticular materials is reviewed, supplemented with topical examples highlighting ...

Covalent Organic Frameworks for Photocatalysis
This review provides an overview of recent advances in covalent organic frameworks (COFs) for photocatalysis, focusing on sustainable energy applications like water splitting, hydrogen peroxide generation, and CO2 and N2 reduction. It discusses design principles, structure‐function relationships, challenges in COF photocatalysis, and strategies to ...

FeNb2O6 is applied for the first time as a high‐performance anode material for sodium‐ion batteries. The presence of iron disrupts the long‐range order by local disorder of the FeO6 octahedra during initial sodiation. Simultaneously, the formation of short‐range ordered zigzag‐chain structures within the NbO6 planes establishes a robust intercalation ...
