Lagrangian Duality for Multiobjective Programming Problems in Lexicographic Order

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
This paper deals with a constraint multiobjective programming problem and its dual problem in the lexicographic order. We establish some duality theorems and present several existence results of a Lagrange multiplier and a lexicographic saddle point ...

A Memristive Diode Bridge-Based Canonical Chua’s Circuit

open access: yesEntropy, 2014
A novel memristor circuit is presented, which is generated from the canonical Chua’s circuit by replacing the Chua’s diode with a first order memristive diode bridge.

On the calculation of the minimax-converse of the channel coding problem

open access: yes, 2016
A minimax-converse has been suggested for the general channel coding problem by Polyanskiy etal. This converse comes in two flavors. The first flavor is generally used for the analysis of the coding problem with non-vanishing error probability and ...

Diffusion Characteristics of Ru and Oxygen Vacancies in Ta2O5 for Resistive Random Access Memory Devices: A Density Functional Theory Investigation

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Atomistic analysis of ruthenium (Ru) and oxygen vacancy (OV) diffusion in Ta₂O₅‐based memristors is performed. DFT calculations demonstrate interstitial Ru in Ta₂O₅ has lower diffusion barriers and formation energies than OVs, enhancing mobility and stability.

Atomistic Modeling of Valence Change Memory Devices: What Can We Learn from Simulations?

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Simulation of resistive switching in valence change memory cells tusing density functional theory (DFT), molecular dynamics (MD), nudged elastic band (NEB), kinetic Monte Carlo (KMC), and quantum transport (QT) methods. Abstract Resistive switching devices based on the valence change effect have shown promise for applications in emerging in‐memory and ...

On the eigenvalues of a class of saddle point matrices [PDF]

open access: yesNumerische Mathematik, 2006
We study spectral properties of a class of block 2 × 2 matrices that arise in the solution of saddle point problems. These matrices are obtained by a sign change in the second block equation of the symmetric saddle point linear system. We give conditions for having a (positive) real spectrum and for ensuring diagonalizability of the matrix.

Optical Vortices during a Super-Resolution Process in a Metamaterial

open access: yes, 2008
We show that a super-resolution process with 100% visibility is characterized by the formation of a point of phase singularity in free space outside the lens in the form of a saddle with topological charge equal to -1.

Insights on SEI Growth and Properties in Na‐Ion Batteries via Physically Driven Kinetic Monte Carlo Model

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The novel kinetic Monte Carlo model presented here incorporates spatially‐ and time‐dependent electrical potential, which enables the precise study of the solid electrolyte interphase formation in Na‐ion batteries. The effects of electrolyte composition and charging conditions on the growth and behavior of the solid electrolyte interphase during the ...
