Chiral tetraphenylene derivatives possessing helical motifs were developed by linking multiple dibenzopyrrolo[1,2‐a][1,8]naphthyridine units to a tetraphenylene core. These helical motifs adopted helical conformations in solution and exhibited high fluorescence (φ > 0.8).

SADDLE POINT VARIATIONAL METHOD FOR DIRAC CONFINEMENT [PDF]
A saddle point variational (SPV ) method was applied to the Dirac equation as an example of a fully relativistic equation with both negative and positive energy solutions.

Synthesis of Crosslinked Biopolyesters Catalyzed by Natural Amino Acids
Highly crosslinked bio‐polyesters were synthesized via the ROCOP reaction between epoxidized sunflower oil and biobased cyclic anhydrides. The resulting materials were comprehensively characterized by FT‐IR, TGA, and DSC. A cross‐linked network in the bio‐based polymers has been confirmed by dynamic mechanical analysis.

Existence of traveling waves for diffusive-dispersive conservation laws
In this work we show the existence existence and uniqueness of traveling waves for diffusive-dispersive conservation laws with flux function in $C^{1}(mathbb{R})$, by using phase plane analysis.

AbstractAn asymptotic expansion of integrals containing an exponential integrand with a large parameter can be obtained by the well-known saddle point method. For integrands further containing Hankel functions a numerical double saddle point method is described herein, allowing the numerical computation of these integrals without using an asymptotic ...

Blood pressure increases immediately when the 2K2C rats (made with 0.3, 0.25, and 0.2 mm U‐shaped clips) regain consciousness from anesthesia. 100% of the rats develop hypertension on the day of 2K2C surgery. Blood pressure continues to rise, resulting in severe hypertension and organ damage to the brain, heart, aorta, and kidneys at 1, 2, 4, and 6 ...

Power partitions and saddle-point method
For $k\geqslant 1$, denote by $p_k(n)$ the number of partitions of an integer $n$ into $k$-th powers. In this note, we apply the saddle-point method to provide a new proof for the well-known asymptotic expansion of $p_k(n)$. This approach turns out to significantly simplify those of Wright (1934), Vaughan (2015) and Gafni (2016).

A generalized saddle point theorem
AbstractThe well-known saddle point theorem is extended to the case of functions defined on a product space X × V, where X is a Banach space and V is a compact manifold. Under some linking conditions, the existence of at least cuplength (V) + 1 critical points is proved.
