On generation of a limit cycle from a separatrix loop of a sewn saddle-node [PDF]

open access: yesИзвестия Саратовского университета. Новая серия: Математика. Механика. Информатика, 2022
The article considers dynamical systems on the plane, defined by continuous piecewise smooth vector fields. Such systems are used as mathematical models of real processes with switching.

On replica-nondiagonal large N saddles in the SYK model

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
We study the saddle points of the SYK model, formulated in terms of the replica bilocal fields, beyond the replica-diagonal assumption. We find a family of replica-nondiagonal saddle points in the IR limit, where the saddle point equations are separable.

Existence‎ Solution for‎ ‎a Non-smooth System [PDF]

open access: yesMathematics Interdisciplinary Research
‎A variational method for a mixed boundary value problem in mathematical physics is considered‎. ‎Using two-field Lagrange multipliers‎, ‎we would investigate a variational formulation containing a mixed variational problem which is equivalent with a ...

Phase retrieval and saddle-point optimization

open access: yes, 2007
Iterative algorithms with feedback are amongst the most powerful and versatile optimization methods for phase retrieval. Among these, the hybrid input-output algorithm has demonstrated practical solutions to giga-element nonlinear phase retrieval ...

Valley Singularities and Baryon Number Violation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
We consider the valley--method computation of the inclusive cross section of baryon number violating processes in the Standard Model. We show that any physically correct model of the valley action should present a singularity in the saddle point valley ...

On Uzawa-SSI method for non-Hermitian saddle point problems

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2020
Based on the single-step iteration (SSI) method for the non-Hermitian positive definite linear systems, we propose a Uzawa-SSI method for solving the saddle point problems with non-Hermitian positive definite (1, 1) block in this paper.

Complex saddle points in QCD at finite temperature and density

open access: yes, 2014
The sign problem in QCD at finite temperature and density leads naturally to the consideration of complex saddle points of the action or effective action.

Preconditioning for Allen-Cahn variational inequalities with non-local constraints [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The solution of Allen-Cahn variational inequalities with mass constraints is of interest in many applications. This problem can be solved both in its scalar and vector-valued form as a PDE-constrained optimization problem by means of a primal-dual active

A Consistent Calculation of Bubble-Nucleation Rates [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We present a consistent picture of tunnelling in field theory. Our results apply both to high-temperature field theories in four dimensions and to zero-temperature three-dimensional ones.

Clinical Practice Guideline for Evaluation and Management of Peripheral Nervous System Manifestations in Sjögren's Disease

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objectives Sjögren's disease is an autoimmune disorder that can impact multiple organ systems, including the peripheral nervous system (PNS). PNS manifestations, which can exist concurrently, include mononeuropathies, polyneuropathies, and autonomic nervous system neuropathies. To help patients and providers in the decision‐making process, we developed
