Equidistant stacking of radicals is typically unstable due to symmetry‐lowering distortions. We predict that such arrangements can be stabilized by multicentered covalent (“pancake”) bonding and Coulombic repulsion between negatively charged radicals.

The Antitriangular Factorization of Saddle Point Matrices [PDF]
Mastronardi and Van Dooren [SIAM J. Matrix Anal. Appl., 34 (2013), pp. 173--196] recently introduced the block antitriangular (``Batman'') decomposition for symmetric indefinite matrices. Here we show the simplification of this factorization for saddle point matrices and demonstrate how it represents the common nullspace method.

Impact of System‐Model Mismatch in Fourier Ptychographic Microscopy
This study investigates the robustness of Fourier ptychography microscope (FPM) reconstruction algorithms across various scenarios, each representing challenges encountered in practical FPM experiments, and deduces the extent to which FPM can provide diffraction‐limited resolution under the influence of various sources of error.

N‐Doped Nonalternant Molecular Bowl/Saddle Hybrids
N‐Doped molecular bowl/saddle hybrids were developed via core‐expansion synthetic strategy. Owing to the structural features containing both positive and negative curvatures, these molecules exhibit unique molecular dynamics, photophysical properties and multiple guest bindings. Abstract Herein, we report the straightforward synthesis and properties of

Analysis of Preconditioners for Saddle-Point Problems [PDF]
The authors describe a preconditioning technique for ``saddle-point'' structure matrices arising from mixed finite element formulations. The construction of preconditioners is based on some more general spectral eqivalence-like assumptions (norm and field-of-values equivalences), for problems satisfying Babuška's stability conditions.

A Mild and Efficient Iridium‐Catalyzed Method for Aldimine Hydrogenation
A mild, efficient, and broadly applicable iridium‐catalyzed method for aldimine hydrogenation, facilitating access to an array of corresponding amine products in high isolated yields is reported. The developed methodology employs a bidentate iridium‐N‐heterocyclic carbene‐phosphine complex for use at low catalyst loadings, and proceeds under an ...
