A Forecast Model of the Number of Containers for Containership Voyage

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2018
Container ships must pass through multiple ports of call during a voyage. Therefore, forecasting container volume information at the port of origin followed by sending such information to subsequent ports is crucial for container terminal management and ...

Risk Assessment of Navigation Safety for Ferries

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2022
This study aims to discuss a risk assessment of navigation safety for ferries. In this research, the risk factors (RFs) for the navigation safety of ferries are first investigated from relevant literature and ferry operational features. A fuzzy AHP (Analytic Hierarchical Process) approach is then proposed to weight those RFs, after which a continuous ...

Semantic Modelling of Ship Behavior in Harbor Based on Ontology and Dynamic Bayesian Network

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2019
Recognizing ship behavior is important for maritime situation awareness and intelligent transportation management. Some scholars extracted ship behaviors from massive trajectory data by statistical analysis.

Quantifying Safety of Laser-Based Navigation

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2019
In this paper, a new safety risk evaluation method is developed, simulated, and tested for laser-based navigation algorithms using feature extraction (FE) and data association (DA). First, at FE, we establish a probabilistic measure of separation between features to quantify the sensor's ability to distinguish landmarks.

Inhibiting stearoyl‐CoA desaturase suppresses bone metastatic prostate cancer by modulating cellular stress, mTOR signaling, and DNA damage response

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Analysis of guidelines concerning navigation safety

open access: yesVestnik of Astrakhan State Technical University. Series: Marine engineering and technologies, 2022
The problem of navigation safety in modern navigation has been widely studied in the scientific works by many authors. Description of the subject area ‒ the safety of ship navigation ‒ is characterized by different terms, such as “safety of seafaring”, “safety of shipping” or “navigation safety”.

Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.
