Vedolizumab safety in pregnancy and newborn outcomes
Gut, 2017We read with interest the study by Colombel et al 1 on vedolizumab (VDZ) safety in Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC). These data were derived from pivotal clinical trials which naturally exclude pregnant women, leaving this important area of pharmacovigilance unaddressed.

Safety testing of metabolites: Expectations and outcomes
Chemico-Biological Interactions, 2009Metabolites arising from chemical entities, old or new, are often mediators of toxicity. Frequently, metabolites are investigated in test animals, with the expectation that the resultant toxicity or activity will mimic the exposure of their formed counterparts. This communication described observations that showed discrepant kinetics between formed and

Measuring the Outcomes of Safety Training
2020Safety training has been identified as one of the most important safety management practices. Previous research has suggested several models for evaluating the effectiveness of safety training. Evaluation is crucial to implement evidence-based training interventions. However, the outcomes of safety training are difficult to demonstrate.
