Cerebellar Transcranial Alternating Current Stimulation in the Theta Band Prevents Recall of the Initial Fear Association After Extinction Training

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 8, June 1, 2026.
In this 3 T fMRI study, 6 Hz cerebellar transcranial alternating current stimulation (ctACS) was applied to modulate cerebellar function during extinction training in healthy participants. ctACS applied during extinction training reduced spontaneous fear recovery during recall.

Geographic and Institutional Patterns of Transoral Robotic Surgery in Head and Neck Cancer

open access: yesHead &Neck, Volume 48, Issue 6, Page 1605-1610, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Transoral robotic surgery (TORS) is increasingly used for oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC), yet national patterns of TORS availability for Medicare beneficiaries are not well defined. We characterized hospital type, geographic distribution, and market concentration of TORS.

Detection and Characterization of ESBL‐Producing and Carbapenem‐Resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae in Ornamental Birds and Their Surrounding Environments

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, Volume 15, Issue 3, June 2026.
Multidrug‐resistant ESBL‐ and carbapenem‐resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae were identified from ornamental birds, their handlers and surrounding environments, carrying key virulence and resistant genes, highlighting potential One Health transmission risks between animals, humans and the associated environments.
