Sharing the SAGA [PDF]

open access: yesTrends in Biochemical Sciences, 2017
Transcription initiation is a major regulatory step in eukaryotic gene expression. Co-activators establish transcriptionally competent promoter architectures and chromatin signatures to allow the formation of the pre-initiation complex (PIC), comprising RNA polymerase II (Pol II) and general transcription factors (GTFs). Many GTFs and co-activators are

Quantifying Protein–Glycan Interactions Using Native Mass Spectrometry

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Interactions between glycan‐binding proteins (GBPs) and carbohydrates (glycans) are essential to many biological processes relevant to human health and disease. For most GBPs, however, their glycan interactome—the repertoire of glycans recognized and their specificities—is poorly defined.

Epigenetic Dysregulation of the NKX2‐1/SPDEF Axis Drives Persistent Goblet Cell Differentiation and Epithelial Barrier Dysfunction in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease

open access: yesRespirology, EarlyView.
This study investigated airway epithelial barrier dysfunction persistence in ex‐smokers with COPD and underlying mechanisms using single‐cell RNA and ATAC sequencing. Epigenetic NKX2‐1/SPDEF dysregulation maintains goblet cell hyperplasia and barrier dysfunction despite long‐term smoking cessation.

A Novel Crawling Robot Based on the Hexagonal Mesh Structure and Enhanced PID Control Strategy

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The locomotion of crawling robots is similar to that of caterpillars, relying on foot adhesion and body contraction to ensure flexible movement without compromising stability. However, most existing pneumatic soft crawling robots are incapable of simultaneously achieving forward, backward, turning, and climbing capabilities.
