A modified sagittal split osteotomy: description of technique [PDF]
The mandibular ramus bilateral sagittal split osteotomy (BSSO) is the common approach in orthognathic surgery; however, this design has some limitations to achieve a good definition in the angle of the jaw in Class II patients with a decreased posterior ...

Skeletal Stability after Mandibular Setback via Sagittal Split Ramus Osteotomy Verse Intraoral Vertical Ramus Osteotomy: A Systematic Review [PDF]
Purpose: The purpose of present study was to review the literature regarding the postoperative skeletal stability in the treatment of mandibular prognathism after isolated sagittal split ramus osteotomy (SSRO) or intraoral vertical ramus osteotomy (IVRO).

Correction of malocclusion using sliding fibula osteotomy with sagittal split ramus osteotomy after mandible reconstruction [PDF]
Background Fibula free flap mandible reconstruction is the standard procedure after wide resection of the mandible. Establishment and maintenance of normal occlusion are important in mandible reconstruction both intraoperatively and after surgery ...

Improved AcroQoL scores in acromegaly after sagittal split ramus osteotomy with Le Fort I osteotomy [PDF]
Acromegaly is associated with a low quality of life (QoL), which is partially attributable to appearance. However, appearance changes are only partially reversible with treatments of growth hormone excess. This case study describes a 41-year-old Japanese

Mandibular anatomy related to sagittal split ramus osteotomy in Koreans
Sagittal split ramus osteotomy (SSRO) is one of the surgical techniques used to correct mandibular deformities. In order to prevent many surgical anatomical problems, we observed the anatomical structures related to SSRO. In dry mandibles of Koreans, lingular tips were located somewhat posteriorly and superiorly on the mandibular ramus.
