Finding halo streams with a pencil-beam survey: new wraps in the Sagittarius stream [PDF]
We use data from two CFHT-MegaCam photometric pencil-beam surveys in the g' and the r' bands to measure distances to the Sagittarius, the Palomar 5 and the Orphan stream.

SELECTING SAGITTARIUS: IDENTIFICATION AND CHEMICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF THE SAGITTARIUS STREAM [PDF]
Wrapping around the Milky Way, the Sagittarius stream is the dominant substructure in the halo. Our statistical selection method has allowed us to identify 106 highly likely members of the Sagittarius stream. Spectroscopic analysis of metallicity and kinematics of all members provides us with a new mapping of the Sagittarius stream.

Kinematics of the outer pseudorings and the spiral structure of the Galaxy [PDF]
The kinematics of the outer rings and pseudorings is determined by two processes: the resonance tuning and the gas outflow. The resonance kinematics is clearly observed in the pure rings, while the kinematics of the gas outflow is manifested itself in ...

What Does the Milky Way Look Like?
In spite of much work, the overall spiral structure morphology of the Milky Way remains somewhat uncertain. In the last two decades, accurate distance measurements have provided us with an opportunity to solve this issue.
