Al-Bayan: Journal of Qur'an and Hadith StudiesAbstract The translation of hadith usually provides incorrect meaning for archaic words. To fill the gap, this study opts to assess the Malay translation for uṣūl al-silq in “Terjemahan Sahih Al-Bukhari” and reveal its correct meaning.
