Esparsettensamen in der Ferkelaufzucht – Leistungsdaten und Blutparameter [PDF]
The seeds of sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia) are rich in protein and show a very attractive amino acid pattern for growing pigs. Nevertheless sainfoin is mainly used as a forage legume. Due to its content of condensed tannins it is especially beneficial

Nutritive value of forage biomass from sainfoin mixtures
Forage quality characteristics of field-grown mixtures of sainfoin with cocksfoot (50:50%), sainfoin with tall fescue (50:50%), and the same with the addition of subterranean clover in their composition (33:33:33%) were measured. Forage biomass from the mixtures of sainfoin with cocksfoot had generally higher forage quality than mixtures with tall ...

This study explores climate change impacts on Mediterranean vegetation in Monti Sibillini (temperate) and Sidi Makhlouf (arid). Using the CMCC‐ESM2 climate model and spectral indices (NDVI, SAVI), predictive models (MaxEnt, Random Forest, XG Boost, Neural Network) showed rising temperatures, reduced precipitation, and vegetation shifts.

Dehydrated sainfoin in rabbit nutrition
The effects of a high (26%) incorporation of dehydrated sainfoin (Perly cultivar, DSp) in rabbit feeding on the performances and health of reproductive doe and growing rabbits were analysed in a sub-optimal (with coccidiosis for the two previous batches) professional breeding environment and over two non-consecutive reproductive cycles (2 replicates ...

Effect of Acacia mearnsii forage or tannin extract on rumen dry matter and crude protein degradation
Abstract This study investigated rumen degradation kinetics of dry matter (DM) and crude protein (CP) in compound feed with different tannin extract inclusions and Acacia mearnsi forage (AMF) relative to dairy feeds (perennial ryegrass+white clover mixture pasture, maize silage, lucerne hay and Themeda triandra hay).
