Saint Blase, patron saint of otorhinolaryngology

He was a Doctor and Bishop in Sebaste, Armenia, and he suffered martyrdom under the rule of the Roman Emperor Licinio (Iliria 250 AD - Tsalonica 325 AD). Saint Bernadette, the Saint of Lourdes

The tiny fragment of residual squamous epithelium in this biopsy brings to mind an image of St Bernadette praying.

Saintes, l'église saint-Pallais.
2020Ecrasée par la proximité immédiate de l'abbatiale Notre-Dame, l'église paroissiale Saint-Pallais n'a jamais beaucoup attiré l'attention des historiens de l'art. Elle est pourtant un édifice particulièrement intéressant en ce qui concerne l'apparition du nouveau style gothique en Saintonge.
