SNAME 7th International Conference and Exhibition on Performance of Ships and Structures in Ice, 2006Sakhalin Energy have been operating on Sakhalin Island since 1998 and have been producing oil from a caisson structure drilling rig since 1999. Production is via an undersea pipeline to a Single Anchor Leg Mooring (SALM) and then to a Floating Storage and Offtake unit (FSO).
