Elastoplasticity Informed Kolmogorov–Arnold Networks Using Chebyshev Polynomials

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, Volume 50, Issue 8, Page 3331-3354, 10 June 2026.
ABSTRACT Multilayer perceptron (MLP) networks are predominantly used to develop data‐driven constitutive models for granular materials. They offer a compelling alternative to traditional physics‐based constitutive models in predicting non‐linear responses of these materials, for example, elastoplasticity, under various loading conditions. To attain the

Impact of Acid Dopants (HCl vs. H2SO4) on the Structure, Performance, and Reusability of Bio‐Based Luffa/Polyaniline Composites for Methylene Blue Adsorption

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 6, June 2026.
Evaluation of the impact of acidic dopants (HCl vs. H2SO4) on bio‐derived luffa/polyaniline composites for methylene blue adsorption. Sustainable and low‐cost Luffa cylindrica/polyaniline (LC/PAN) composite adsorbents were developed for the removal of methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solutions. The effect of acid dopants (hydrochloric acid and sulfuric

Pea Protein and Maltodextrin‐Based Encapsulation of Anthocyanins From Black Rice Bran: Characterization, Storage Stability, and In Vitro Anthocyanin Release

open access: yesJournal of Food Science, Volume 91, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT This study aimed to encapsulate anthocyanins from black rice bran (an agro‐industrial by‐product) using pea protein (PR) and maltodextrin (MA) as wall materials. The microcapsules were characterized by determining encapsulation efficiency, structural and thermal characteristics, color and storage stability, and in vitro anthocyanin release ...

Blocking the Extractive Order: Political Mobilisations and Infrastructure Disruptions in Sudan and Morocco

open access: yesArea, Volume 58, Issue 2, June 2026.
Short Abstract This article examines how blockades targeting extractive infrastructure function as political tools in authoritarian contexts, based on case studies from Sudan and Morocco. It argues that such practices are not merely disruptions but localized strategies of resistance, revealing how marginalised communities contest resource governance ...

What Works Where? Scrutinizing How Personal Resources Spur Managers' Innovative Work Behaviour

open access: yesCreativity and Innovation Management, Volume 35, Issue 2, Page 425-441, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Whereas innovative work behaviour (IWB) is regarded as a desired positive behaviour for all organizational members, existing research has predominantly focused on employees, while only sparingly scrutinizing the IWB among managerial levels. To address this gap, we draw on upper echelons and positive organizational behaviour perspectives to ...

Effortful Control and Cortical Brain Structure in 5‐Year‐Old Children: Findings From the FinnBrain Birth Cohort Study

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neuroscience, Volume 63, Issue 11, June 2026.
The structural correlates of effortful control in typically developing 5‐year‐olds were found in the left supramarginal/superior parietal region and in the right inferior temporal region. The results differed from those seen in older participants in earlier studies.

Revisiting Text Readability and Processing Effort in Second Language Reading: Bayesian Analysis of Eye‐Tracking Data

open access: yesLanguage Learning, Volume 76, Issue 2, Page 671-703, June 2026.
Abstract Studies have explored the relationship between text readability and processing effort in second language (L2) reading—as evidenced by eye movements. However, these studies generally relied on short texts, raising concerns about the validity of the analyzed data. This study reexamined these relationships using open‐source eye‐tracking data from
