We studied the reproductive biology of the spectacled salamander, Salamandrina terdigidata, in Central Italy by daily sampling over three breeding seasons. Reproduction takes place annually, between February and May. Clutch size varies (1-65), and are usually placed by females on the underside of stones. The total number of eggs deposited varies yearly

By morphological methods and the method of light microscopy, the olfactory capsules structure at the senior individual of Triturus Cristatus was explored. The basic olfactory epithelium receptor cells are located in clusters separated by respiratory cells. The vomeronasal organ is revealed in the lateral part of olfactory capsule.
